How it Works

Option #1

Drop off Lockers

Safe and secure lockers are available for drop-off at your convenience. This is by far the #1 choice by customers.

Steps

  1. Once you arrive at the location, you will find the lockers to the right side of the front door on the porch.

  2. If a key is in the lock, that locker is available for use.

  3. Simply open the door, place your items in the bin, and fill out the form.

  4. Turn the key clockwise to lock. At this point the key is removable. Take the key with you. You will need it to pick up your items when they are finished.

*Important! Please take care of the keys. These are high-security lockers. Keys need to be specially ordered by me from the company that made them. There is a $15 charge to replace lost keys. Thank You!

Pick Up

  1. When your sharpening is complete (usually the next day), you will be contacted. Your items are ready for pick-up! They will be in the same locker in which you placed them.

  2. Place your cash or check in the payment box above the lockers. Digital payments must be made before pick-up.

  3. Remove your items from the locker and leave the key in the lock for the next customer.

  4. Enjoy your newly sharpened and restored items! Your feedback is also appreciated and welcome!

Filling out this online form is helpful to start the process. I will contact you shortly after I receive it.

Option #2

Sharpen While You Wait

If you schedule an appointment, I can sharpen your items while you wait or run errands in the area.

Steps

  1. Pick an available date and time in the appointment scheduler.

  2. Read the provided instructions and fill out the brief questionnaire.

  3. Then show up to the appointment. Directions to the location are provided by clicking on the map locator icon in the footer section of each website page.

Option #3

On Site Sharpening

  • Restaurants

  • Private Residence

  • More

I am able to travel to your location and sharpen on-site. There are no travel fees. However, there is a minimum of $250 for this service (approximately 25-30 items). This is a great service option for large gatherings or individuals who may find it difficult to get to my location. This sharpening service is only available on weekends and must be booked a minimum of 10 days in advance.

Steps

  1. Fill out and send the “On-Site Sharpening Form.”

  2. You will be contacted by email to confirm or further discuss the details of the event.

  3. Once the event is confirmed, there will be a 50% deposit of the minimum service fee. If the event is canceled, the deposit can be refunded if notification is given prior to the day of the event. Otherwise, the deposit will be returned after the event is finished. If the minimum fee is not met, that amount will be deducted from the deposit.

Option #4

Mail Order Service

The prices are the same as listed on the pricing page. Please do not ship anything that isn’t listed there without contacting us first.

There is an additional cost for shipping (5-7 knives are generally around $20 both ways) and a $3 handling service charge.

However, if you would like the benefit of a razor-sharp edge, and can not easily get your items to me, then using this mail-order service is the option for you.

Steps

  1. Fill out the Mail Order Service Form. You will receive a printable PDF of the form in your email. Please print the form and place it in the shipping box.

  2. Package: Choose a box with plenty of room. Wrap each item individually and add some padding to the bottom of the box. Place your items in the box along with your printed PDF form. Then add some padding around and on top of your items if there is room. Cover up any bar codes or old information. Do Not label what is in the box.

  3. Shipping: USPS and FedEx are both reliable options for this service. USPS may be a little less expensive, but FedEx may be a little quicker. They both come with some insurance ($50-100), but more can be added if desired.

  4. Finished: After your sharpening service is completed, you will receive an invoice in your email. Once your invoice is paid, your items will be shipped back to you.

  5. Enjoy your newly sharpened and repaired items!
